For the past four months, The Dock (Skyland’s youth ministry) has joined 7 Bridges to Recovery Ministries to pray over the homeless and provide sack lunches and hygiene items. Every Saturday, 7 Bridges takes two routes. These routes are the Bridge and the Bluff. We usually take the Bridge, which routes us to people who are without homes, sleeping in tents under a bridge. But this past Saturday, we took the Bluff.

What is the Bluff? The Bluff is where we encounter a different kind of people: people facing addiction and spiritual darkness. The experience was very intense. But I thank God The Dock has some bold young soldiers who, when faced with tough situations, are willing to pray for people in need and give them hugs no matter what they look like. This reminds me of the verse in Acts 28:31: “Proclaiming the kingdom of God and teaching about the Lord Jesus Christ with all boldness and without hindrance.”

So to all who are part of The Dock and those who will join us in August, I am here with you to continue to proclaim the kingdom of God because we are all part of that kingdom. We will teach about the Jesus we all love and serve. We will be bold to speak the truth of Christ by showing those that we encounter who Jesus is in our lives. I am super proud of each and every one of you!
