March 14, 2010 – 2 Samuel 9:1-13 David and Jonathan were best friends. After Jonathan and his father’s, King Saul’s, death, David became king. It was expected that the new king to slaughter the family of the previous king. David however sought to find the son of Jonathan so so he could honor him. This story has much to teach us about Jesus and the peace He offers.
