Over the past several months of serving the youth and children, the Lord has really been pressing into my heart this idea that something big is about to happen, specifically for Skyland. I don’t know what that ‘big’ thing is that’s about to happen, but what I do know is this: God is faithful. Every single word that comes from the mouth of the Lord comes to pass. It has to. Every promise He has spoken, every dream He has given, every thought He has planted, it must all come to pass.
If it is from the mouth of the Lord it will come to pass. Just because it hasn’t happened yet doesn’t mean it won’t. When you are in the period of waiting for the Lord’s promises to be fulfilled, it can be tempting to doubt, but remind yourself of God’s faithfulness and hold on to His promises. “God is not man, that He should lie, or a son of man, that He should change His mind. Has He said, and will He not do it? Or has He spoken, and will He not fulfill it?” – Numbers 23:19
God has it all figured out. Preparation seasons can be hard and full of questions, especially if you don’t know what you’re preparing for and you don’t know how long you have to prepare. It’s our natural tendency for us to question everything because we want to figure it out. However, that is not our place. Sometimes, God chooses to share with us what’s going on, which is great. Other times, more often than not, He chooses not to. He just asks us to trust Him. The best part about this, though, is that we can choose to sit back and trust Him because He’s got it figured out. He knows the end from the beginning and nothing surprises Him. He is good and worthy of our trust. “‘For My thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways My ways,’ declares the Lord.” – Isaiah 55:8
God will get the glory. Regardless of what happens, at the end of the day, God will get the glory. Isn’t that the purpose of our lives? To live for the glory of God? May this reason push us on to brave through change and embrace seasons of unfamiliarity. May this reason push us to trust more in our Lord and look for ways to serve Him while we wait for prayers to be answered and promises to come to pass. May we rejoice in the small, uneventful moments, knowing that it is in these moments that we come closer to our Lord Jesus Christ. May we aim to glorify Him in all things and in all seasons of life. “So, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God.” – 1 Corinthians 10:31
Skyland: Thank you for welcoming me and letting me serve your youth and children over the past few months. It has been such a joy and delight and I know God has big things in store for you all.
Youth and Children: Thank you for constantly and selflessly showering me with love. You all are so precious to me and even more precious to the Lord. He has such an abundant love for each of you, and I pray that you discover more of it as you continue to grow in Him.
Everyone: Remain faithful to the Lord, as He is faithful to you. He is good and a keeper of His promises. “And let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up.” – Galatians 6:9
Thank you ALL! May God bless you all abundantly for the ways you have blessed me!
